String Trio This Wednesday

Monday, April 21, 2008 Had a great time at the two performances on Friday. The art opening at Slought was very inspiring and lots of people. Bilwa and I rocked it dual laptop style taking it back to some 90s Warp Records minimal IDM for a while at the opening. People seemed to be really into it.

Then I headed over to GATE, did an improv set of laptop and piano. I got a really stellar recording of this performance and plan on posting it here soon....


This week Wednesday night is the Paraphrase<>Nexus show. The premiere of my string trio, "Daemon En Gauze".

It starts around 8PM at the Nexus Gallery at the Crane Arts Building - 1400 N. American Street (Fishtown).

In addition, composer/sound artist Mikronesia will premiere "Daemon En Gauze," a string trio performed by Normal Love violinist Carlos Santiago, violist Martha Savery of Gemini Wolf, and Rachel's cellist, Eve Miller. Having worked extensively in electronic music, Mikronesia employs acoustic instruments to emulate the textures of electronics in the piece, inspired by the work of Gyorgy Ligeti.
