First off, welcome to the new mikronesia site! It's been a few weeks in development and a few months in conception. We've got a snazzy flash music player to the left that you can choose different playlists that will be constantly updated and kept fresh with tasty new mikronesia sound nuggets.
Also, the badware hack thing that make my site come up in Google as a "site that may harm you computer" has been found and fixed. Hopefully it didn't turn away too many people.
On the music tip - lots in development.
I've got a new collection of work entitled 'vxvii', you can listen to it on the flash player to the left. I'm also working on a new release for Gears of Sand, tentatively titled Iris or Comfortable Too, this new work for GoS is going to be comprised of entirely piano sounds. Initially I wanted to take a new approach to the classical minimal / ambient piano work on Satie or Harold Budd, we'll see how much "piano" makes it though the DSP/processing production on the album. That should be out late May / Early June.
Also on my more beat oriented production, the tracks I've been working on for MC Virya are also on display in the flash player, check under the 'production collaboration' playlist for two tracks. Also in the next week or so, Spenser Michaels and I are finally going to put out that track "Beyond" that we've been working on and off again for about a year and half! We only meet up every couple of months and we've got a few other tracks in the works. He's been busy with the Grand Grand Grand LP anyways.
Finally for Gemini Wolf, we're putting the finishing touches on our debut LP, Josiah. We're going to have CD release party on May 18 at Art@Sophi. At the CD Release party we're going to have limited pressing of the LP with four different versions of the cover art based on the photos series "House of Josiah" by Pandar, which will also be on display at the Art@Sophi gallery.
We're not doing any Gemini Wolf shows until May when we'll do a few warm up shows in Philly and New York culminating with the CD Release show on May 18.
I won't be doing any Mikronesia dates until mid-April for the American Composers Forum Sound Exchange 2007 with Pauline Oliveros.
Now that the new site is up expect updates in the 'News' as well as some tweaks throughout the week as I get the site working correctly on the server.
Cheers!
