Weekend Wrap Up
Monday, December 11, 2006
What a great weekend of music, parties, dancing, food and holiday fun. As I mentioned early the Gemini Wolf show on Friday night at the Khyber was our best yet. We got a pretty decent recording from the sound guy, Ken Gregory. I still need to go through it, but I'm sure I can post a track or two here. Many thanks to the other bands on the bill; Lo Power Plane, Music For Headphones and Gentlemen Christ.
Saturday night was a completely different vibe, but equally enjoyable. Bilwa and Emily had done a lot of work putting together the first in the revived Rashomon series at the Mashcer Street Cooperative Dance Studio. They had lots of press including a full page metro article and the turn out was great. People were very attentive and responsive to the performance and it was really amazing. I got a really good recording of the show. I'll be posting audio soon enough. Thanks to all those that were involved in this performance; musicians Bilwa, Helena and Sean; dancers; Allison, Rebecca, Zornitsa and Emily and John Phillips inspiring video work. There were a few people video taping the performance, so at some point we'll sync up the video and audio and try and post it online. We're all looking forward to the next Rashomon which will be sometime in late January.
Getting back to recording on the Gemini Wolf project. We've got about six tracks recorded, two or three more to go. Doing some over-dub and post production this week.
