AA lot of exciting show this week in the wet n' wild world of Mikronesia. Here's the down-low-lowdown:
Tuesday 8/29 - The Weekly Cipher - Jalima Shani (hip-hop/spoken word artist - Nonsense Records) with Mikronesia on laptop. Medusa Lounge (21st/Chestnut). 10 PM. FREE.
Thursday 8/31 - (Return of) RELEASE THE KRAKEN - with DJ Mikronesia weaving a flesh-knit circuit board of electronic, rock, hip-hop, jazz and international carpet bombs. Upstairs at the Khyber (2nd/Chestnut). 9 PM - 2 AM. FREE.
Friday 9/1 - ARTS IN MOTION PRESENTS : provocateur - at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Great Hall. Mikronesia as a AIM guest remixer/arranger performing Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 arranged for laptop and string quartet.
